Because I feel your pain, my friend.

I write these words for you;

A time will come when clouds will part

to let the sun back through.

Just think about the tiny tree

That struggles on the cliff;

If never storm it must endure,

What strength be found in it?

If only sun would cross its path;

How could a tree survive?

It takes both calm and storm, my friend,

To keep a tree alive!

To heed these plain and simple words,

Will help you make it through;

Hold fast to God amid life’s storms

And He’ll hold fast to you.

Then like that tree; you’ll sink deep roots,

And faith will keep you strong;

For you will know you’re not alone,

He’s been there all along.
